Little Ringed Plover
Charadrius dubius



Little Ringed Plovers are an annual migrant and summer visitor to Severnside in small numbers. They are one of the first Spring migrants to arrive, usually in March, but the earliest recent record was 25th February and all leave to head South by the end of September.


The image below shows the differences in size and plumage between adult Little Ringed Plover (left) and Ringed Plover.
